I like the self-registration option but must remove it from time to time due to spammers. If you don’t see an option to register under the “Meta” title, e-mail yinn@citybarbs.com with your name, e-mail and preferred user name(s).

Some folks like to post under pseudonyms sometimes or always, and that’s fine as long as you don’t end up having a conversation with yourself (sock puppetry).

Your first comment will go into moderation. Once the first is approved, subsequent comments should appear immediately unless they get caught in a spam filter on account of links or language.

It is my custom to allow conversations to go off-topic, but I do not tolerate comments that violate medical privacy laws, libel or attack other participants or “out” our anonymous commenters; nor do I tolerate “flurries” of comments that attempt to intimidate, harass, or control the conversation. In short, this is not the Wild West of blogs.

If you are looking for civility and intelligent conversation, you’ll be happy with City Barbs most days. :D
