Isn’t awful when a breakfast costs more then the room rental?
Did Ron Naylor pay for the room from his own pocket or did the taxpayers of DeKalb pay for a special 5th ward get together?

Ooops, I forgot to tell you where these are. Here’s the link to the check register:
http://www.cityofdekalb.com/CityCouncil/Agendas/2010%20Agendas/062810.pdf
The room rental for the council mtg. is on p. 96 of the PDF doc. The expenditure account code is 8376. The meals are on p. 97.
The Naylor rental appears much later, p. 120, because it came out of the Fund 63 TIF. The expenditure account code is 8343. The vendor is Ellwood House Association, 350625, same as for the retreat.
So, instead of having a ward meeting at the Muni building or Barb City Manor or in a restaurant or someplace free, Mr. Naylor feels entitled to have us pay for him to host his ward.
I wonder how many other expenses are becoming TIF-eligible, especially since they are now having trouble meeting payroll out of the GF.
