There’s now a “Stop the DeKalb County Mega-Dump” Group on Facebook.
The group needs officers. I’d apply if it were a sure thing that certain members of local media would somehow try to fit my involvement to the “vengeful losing mayoral candidate” frame that some folks love so much. Alas, it’s been almost a year so I’m bound to become just another citizen activist any minute now.
*wink*

It’ll be interesting to see if Stop DeKalb County Mega-Dump becomes as popular as DeKalb/Sycamore Earthquake Relief.

Thanks for plug and link the no megadump group.
Those media things do eventually go away. Yesteryear I couldn’t be quoted without the <—- this guys works for the builders and developers association tag. The problem was my opinion wasn’t the DCBDA’s and I thought it was unfair to that organization so I resigned.
Those of us who are paying attention know well that you’ve been fighting the good fight long before running for mayor. Keep firing away on the issues and don’t let them drag you down to their level.
I doubt this will be as popular as the DeKalb/Sycamore Earthquake Relief group. That one is needed comic relief. ;-)

The DeKalb/Sycamore Earthquake Relief has nearly 4,500 members, including local celebrities–what a hilarious idea.
I cannot imagine anyone in Illinois more happy for the media frenzy over the earthquake than Scott Lee Cohen. News about him fell off instantly.
